Whoopi Goldberg Not Happy with How Michelle Obama Nixed The View
Whoopi Goldberg is unhappy with how Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, and fellow candidate John Edwards and his wife declined to appear on The View. The two backed out of upcoming tapings this week, claiming allegiance with the striking television writers.
But Goldberg, the moderator for the daily ABC chat fest, isn't happy by the suggestion that she and co-hosts Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, and Sherri Shepherd are not supporting the strike by continuing to tape the show.
"It could have been handled differently," Goldberg told the studio audience. "Because what they said made it look like we don't care. We support the writers strike."
