Supposedly sober Lindsay Lohan couldn't resist downing champagne to ring in 2008. After TMZ.com released footage of the rehabbed starlet drinking straight from a bottle while in Italy, her lawyer admitted that his client had temporarily fallen off the wagon. "After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year's Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay stopped herself, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track," Blair Berk told People magazine. "There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay had to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world."
In other Lohan news, the 21-year-old is moving to dismiss a lawsuit against her filed over a 2005 car accident. Although the man Lindsay hit claims that she was drunk at the time, two employees from the restaurant she was driving from submitted declarations that the then-underage Lohan had not touched alcohol.
Meanwhile, Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan is expressing outrage over the explicit interview her daughter's ex-boyfriend recently gave to News of the World, but denies that she called his mother to complain about it. The elder Lohan told People magazine that Riley Giles publicly detailed the young couple's sex life as a desperate measure "to hurt Lindsay because she broke up with him."
