Actor Eddie Murphy and executive Tracey Edmonds did indeed tie the knot January 1st on a private island off the coast of Bora Bora in French Polynesia. The wedding was confirmed by EOnline.com, which reported that the couple exchanged vows in a sunset ceremony on the beach before 25 guests.
Edmonds, a film and TV producer, wore a custom-made gown of "off-white with a beaded French lace and silk taffeta ruffled train" designed by Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci and made her processional to Gladys Knight's version of Curtis Mayfield's "The Makings Of You."
The wedding party included singer Johnny Gill as the best man, and actress Nicole Avant as maid of honor.
The media had reported that friends and family began arriving in nearby Tahiti on Friday (December 28th) on their way to the tiny island for the ceremony.
Murphy, last seen in 2007's outrageous comedy Norbit, will appear in Starship Dave, due this May.
